Entry #10. Thanksgiving


Thanksgiving Day is a day when relatives and close friends get together to celebrate what they are thankful for. It once was a day of celebration to the pilgrims sharing a feast with the Native Americans in what could also be seen as a sign of peace and tranquillity. However, in this day and age we have pushed that facade aside because of what really happened occurred in that time. Teachers still try to teach children the meaning that Thanksgiving brings, but no longer try to teach them to celebrate the murderers and thieves. All that ugliness aside it is important that we continue to pursue that new message of celebrating what we are thankful for. Almost everyone has something to be thankful for. I am personally thankful for my family and all the time I get to spend with them. It was even better that I got to sit in a room and eat with people that I don't see that often.

    Periodt! It is an ugly holiday but at least it is a holiday that has moved from the original events to an excuse to eat a lot of food. I love having dinner with my family like this.

    Hi, Geovane. You have some good content and ideas in your last 4 blogs. You have some good development at times, yet you are a bit too brief at others. Keep working at analyzing and maintaining your style and development throughout, and don't forget that a text wall is not very engaging--format your text to be more visually engaging.

The Lakers are more formidable than they were last year when they won the 2020 NBA Championship. While it was a tough battle then and a well-deserved victory the workload fell down to 2 men, one of which is very much injury prone. Due to this, the Lakers were knocked off in the first round of the playoffs due to an injured Anthony Davis. While LeBron is an amazing player and certainly one of the best to ever grace the court he wasn't able to carry the team to another victory. Anthony Davis is an integral part of the team, he can shoot when he needs to and is an effective center playing excellent defense in the paint. A loss of someone literally that huge was too great. However, on July 30th of this year, Russel Westbrook joined the ranks and made a considerable difference. Russel Westbrook averages a triple-double and is capable of so much on the court. Entry #4. Turtles in a half shell

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are icons in media. They have been around since 1984 and have been in many movies and tv shows and comics. While they haven't been as big as they used to be when I was a kid they are still pretty iconic and anyone can point them out just by seeing them. Their popularity soared again when Nickelodeon produced a movie about them in   2014 and they were exposed to a whole new generation. They are all named after Renaissance painters: Leonardo da Vinci (Blue) painted the Mona Lisa, Raphael (Red) painted School of Athens, Michelangelo (Orange) painted the Sistene Chapel, and Donatello (Purple) sculpted Saint Mark. They were named this way because the creators couldn't think of any ninja sounding Japanese names so they decided to the names of their favorite artists. Entry #2. CLB VS Donda

These two albums have been the biggest and most hyped albums this year. The biggest debate between the two is which one is better? What makes this debate so hard is two things: these albums are two very different projects and there is also the fact that music is subjective. One of the reasons this debate is so huge is because Kanye and Drake have had major differences and it evolved from just making music to seeing who could do it better. In my opinion, I enjoyed Certified Lover Boy a bit more than I enjoyed Donda. I find that there is more music you can vibe to and enjoy with others in CLB than there is in Donda. The songs on Donda feel more soulful and more enjoyable alone. Although that isn't to say there aren't any songs enjoyable, there are songs like Off the Grid and Ok Ok.
