The Man Behind the Screen

     Hello there, my name is Geovane Gutierrez Jr. I am Hispanic, a brother, a son, and full time college student. My interests range from watching basketball, to music, and to video games. I also have a big focus on family and that's my culture that cultivates that. My hobbies include checking the GOAT app every time I hear a new pair of Jordan's hit the site and playing basketball with my family or friends. It really is my favorite sport and the only one I can watch without getting bored. I love listening to music especially when I am driving around or need some background noise. In fact I was checking to see if Kanye had released his new album every chance I got. Currently I am listening to this album on repeat and can not wait for Drake to release his new album later this week.

    I love watching the Lakers play and I truly hope one day I'll be able to watch Lebron play in person. Before anyone thinks I am a band wagon I do have proof I was a fan way before he was on the team. 
    While I would say I don't have many pet peeves there are some things that do get on my nerves. Disrespect is a big one, that is one sure fire way to get me angry especially if it comes out of no where because everyone deserves the same respect and common courtesy. Aside from that I am pretty easy going and laid back.

My goals at this moment in time is to make my family proud and finish college and successfully stick to my scholarship. I want this more than anything else because it is an amazing opportunity that I am able to get this education and not have to rely on loans or any other sort of financial aid. I am incredibly grateful that because of my effort I put in high school that I was able to obtain this scholarship. 

I would like to think what makes me unique is that I am a genuine person. I truly do care for others and love to hear people's stories. I don't have any underhanded tactics or go out of my way to cause problems. Interacting with people is my favorite even if I am a bit shy at first.     Hello Geovane, I am hispanic too! I don't watch basketball that often but I love to watch football. I listen to all kids of music but I mostly listen to 70s and 80s music. The only video games I play are MarioKart and Crash. I do not listen to Kanye too much but I do love Drake's voice. Lebron is pretty cool he seems like a genuine guy. I agree with you on the respect part, like as long as people respect me and my loved ones everything is good. I know that we don't know each other but I am really proud of you for obtaining that scholarship it is a huge deal! I also like to think that we are the same when it comes to being genuine people. I am an introvert and very shy but once you get to talk to me I am very open and become very caring of you.

    Hello fellow classmate, after reading your blog we share similarities. I'm hispanic as well and very attached to the culture. Goat is very handy app, although I personally prefer Stock X just because I feel it gives the most accurate listings. Goat is very underrated and should be talked about more. Also, we can most likely agree Lebron is special, by the way i'm a bandwagon but hopefully that doesn’t change too much.

The Lakers are more formidable than they were last year when they won the 2020 NBA Championship. While it was a tough battle then and a well-deserved victory the workload fell down to 2 men, one of which is very much injury prone. Entry #4. Turtles in a half shell

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are icons in media. They have been around since 1984 and have been in many movies and tv shows and comics. While they haven't been as big as they used to be when I was a kid they are still pretty iconic and anyone can point them out just by seeing them. Their popularity soared again when Nickelodeon produced a movie about them in   2014 and they were exposed to a whole new generation. They are all named after Renaissance painters: Leonardo da Vinci (Blue) painted the Mona Lisa, Raphael (Red) painted School of Athens, Michelangelo (Orange) painted the Sistene Chapel, and Donatello (Purple) sculpted Saint Mark. They were named this way because the creators couldn't think of any ninja sounding Japanese names so they decided to the names of their favorite artists. Entry #2. CLB VS Donda

These two albums have been the biggest and most hyped albums this year. The biggest debate between the two is which one is better? What makes this debate so hard is two things: these albums are two very different projects and there is also the fact that music is subjective. One of the reasons this debate is so huge is because Kanye and Drake have had major differences and it evolved from just making music to seeing who could do it better. In my opinion, I enjoyed Certified Lover Boy a bit more than I enjoyed Donda. I find that there is more music you can vibe to and enjoy with others in CLB than there is in Donda. The songs on Donda feel more soulful and more enjoyable alone. Although that isn't to say there aren't any songs enjoyable, there are songs like Off the Grid and Ok Ok. Both of the albums also share incredible features but they also share a lot of the same artists. The build-up for these two albums has been immense other than the rivalry between Drake and Kanye.
