Entry #10. Thanksgiving

Image
Thanksgiving Day is a day when relatives and close friends get together to celebrate what they are thankful for. It once was a day of celebration to the pilgrims sharing a feast with the Native Americans in what could also be seen as a sign of peace and tranquillity. However, in this day and age we have pushed that facade aside because of what really happened occurred in that time. Teachers still try to teach children the meaning that Thanksgiving brings, but no longer try to teach them to celebrate the murderers and thieves. All that ugliness aside it is important that we continue to pursue that new message of celebrating what we are thankful for. Almost everyone has something to be thankful for. I am personally thankful for my family and all the time I get to spend with them. It was even better that I got to sit in a room and eat with people that I don't see that often.

Entry #9. Food Waste

I think this is important to share because it has a lot of meaning behind it. Think about it this way, at the start of people quarantining people were flocking the grocery store in droves. They were cleaning the stores out leaving not much of anything behind. While things were very scary at the time people weren't thinking. People were filling their shopping quarts with things that perish very quickly like milk. There is no way a person is going to be able to go through 15 gallons of milk in 2-3 weeks and then there are people that don't even have any. It takes my family 2-3 weeks just to finish 1 gallon. Other than that people waste food all of the time when buying groceries. People either buy more than they need or don't check the expiration date and the food goes to waste. People need to consider what they actually need  in accordance with their lifestyle. There are people that go hungry and can't even get food while there are people wasting it for no reason.

Entry #8. Dragon Ball

Personally, I'm not really too invested in anime. While I like a few shows here and there I haven't seen enough for it to be my favorite type of show. However, this show does take a special place in my heart. The series started off with a little boy with a monkey named Goku who meets a new friend by the name of Bulma. Together they go on an adventure to find the 7 mystical dragon balls, when assembled a dragon by the name of Shenron appears and grants one wish. Pretty simple right? The show is more than that because that boy goes on a journey to learn from each adventure and each battle to become stronger. Every time he thinks he's reached his peak he finds that he can get stronger. All that was the first series and he continues this same path onto the next 2 series. The main character Goku is never satisfied with his current strength and continues to push through his limits and find a new level of strength. It is amazing to watch him and his friends grow and come as far as

Entry #7. A Fresh Take

I can't say that I ever put much thought into where the food I eat comes from. Of course, I have pondered it for a second I never put any effort into the thinking and quickly dismissed it. There is that old saying that says something like "nobody wants to see how the sausage is made", but there is a reason for that. It's not a pretty process and nobody that enjoys it should look into it. I still don't really want to ponder it because I enjoy the things I eat and I don't want to be grossed out at all. The purpose of the film is to show people what goes on in the food production industry. It is mostly to show the audience how there are people within the industry striving for change. The audience is intended to be regular people or people who would like to do research and be cautious about the food they eat. The tone is somewhat serious but informational. What stood out to me most was Will Allen and how he leads the urban farming movement. The way he went from ba
